WHAT IS SITEMAPS
A sitemap is a blueprint of your website that help search engines find, crawl and index all of your website's content. Sitemaps also tell search engines which pages on your site are most important. ... It's usually in the form of an XML Sitemap that links to different pages on your website.
TYPES OF SITEMAPS
- (a) HTML Sitemaps:-An HTML sitemap is a file that lists all the important pages of your website that you want search engines like Google and Bing to index. Indexing refers to how search engines gather your landing pages and store them in their database.
- (b)XML Sitemaps:-In simple terms, an XML sitemap is a list of your website's URLs. It acts as a roadmap to tell search engines what content is available and how to reach it. In the example above, a search engine will find all nine pages in a sitemap with one visit to the XML sitemap file.
(c) Video sitemaps:-A video sitemap is a sitemap with additional information about video hosted on your pages.
(d) News Sitemap: Helps Google find content on sites that are approved for Google News.
(e)Image Sitemap: Helps Google find all of the images hosted on your site.

PROCEDURE ON HOW TO CREAT AND SUBMIT XML SITEMAPS TO BLOGGER
Ok,lets drive in to our main topic how to creat and submit sitemaps to blogger using step by steps:-
1.Open your Chrome Browser and type https://www.labnol.org/blogger/sitemap.
2.Copy your Website URL and paste it , Click on Generate sitemaps.
3.Copy the text from ( user agent---The end).
4.After copy, Go to your blogger website setting and paste it to Custom robots.txt.
5.Next, Click on Google search console.
6.On the left hand side of your screen you will see Sitemaps,Click on it.
7.Now,on the blank type sitemaps.xml and hit on submit buttom.Your sitemaps will be submitted.
NOTE:-If your site is new it will show couldnt featch..There is nothing to worry it takes time for verify wait for it.Do not resubmit you sitemaps ,It can delay the process.
